Music
For You!
A
music camp for beginners, Music For You! will allow your
elementary school student to try out music lessons in a friendly group
setting.
Each student will receive a group lesson in the instrument of their
choice
and classes in creative movement, chorus and music related crafts.
The
instructors are experienced in both music and education. The
instructors are:
Betty Hoadley - piano - over 60 years of teaching piano and organ,
and more than 50 years as a church musician
Alice Skaar - violin - accomplished solo and ensemble
musician for more than 20 years, instructor at Southern Wesleyan
University, and a certified early childhood teacher
Marsha Lyle - recorder - over 30 years as a church musician and a
certified early childhood teacher
Frances Devoe - handbells - over 25 years as a church musician,
director of handbell choirs for the last 20 years, and a certified high
school teacher
Violins, Pianos and Bells are provided for students to use for the camp courtesy
of Mountain Music and St. John's Lutheran Church. Recorders will be
purchased for the students for an additional $10 fee. |
